Dr. Matthew “Matt” McPheron, originally from Columbus, OH, graduated with a bachelor’s
degree from the University of Mississippi before earning his Doctor of Optometry degree from
The Ohio State University College of Optometry. With a solid educational background
and a diverse range of experiences, he brings a wealth of knowledge to Premier Family Eye Care.
Eager to embrace new opportunities, Dr. McPheron is excited to relocate and establish himself
in the vibrant community of Charlotte, NC. Driven by his passion for helping others and
improving vision, he strives to build lasting relationships with his patients based on trust,
empathy, and personalized care. Dr. McPheron is well-equipped to treat a wide variety of eye
conditions. He especially enjoys fitting contact lenses, as well as the treatment of chronic dry
eye and other ocular surface diseases.
Outside of the office, Dr. McPheron enjoys various outdoor activities, particularly golfing,
boating, hiking, and playing with his dog, Rebel. These hobbies not only provide balance to his
professional life but also reinforce his belief in the importance of an active and healthy lifestyle.
He is a member of The North Carolina Optometric Society and the American Optometric
Association.
