Pediatric Eye Examinations

We see patients of all ages. We are experienced in working with infants, preschoolers, and school age children.

We adapt the examination techniques to fit the age of child. We are still able to accurately access the needs of small children even if they are not old enough to know their letters or numbers.

We are comfortable and happy to see children in our family friendly office.

The kids learn that eye exams are actually fun and they get a special surprise from our treasure box at the end of their exam.

Children’s eyes are developing from birth until about 10 years old. School screenings and pediatrician eye tests do not find all of the vision problems that children may have. So it is important that they have comprehensive examinations during their developmental years to make sure that their eyes and visual system will develop properly.

“Infant See” Eye Examination

Dr. Young provides free eye exams for infants age 6 to 12 months old.  Doctor Young uses special techniques that are easy and fun for the baby. The visual development and ocular health is evaluated to determine if it is appropriate for the age of the child.
